| PAL YOUTH EQUESTRIAN CENTER |
| On June 1, 2006 the Police Athletic League of New Jersey became proud owners of a 36 acre equestrian ranch in Southampton, New Jersey. The property offers numerous riding trails, open spaces, and paddock areas. With the assistance of two Congressional Earmark Grants, we plan on upgrading the facility to include an indoor riding arena and an expanded stable area. Nicknamed the "Work n' Progress Ranch", we anticipate having numerous PAL youth visit the ranch and spend some time riding and learning about horses. The ultimate goal is to build and enhance self-esteem by encouraging youngsters to try something that they have not had the opportunity to experience previously. |
